Today is the third time that I contribute to a series about French design, and this month’s theme is Vintage French.
Of course it is different talking about vintage french, when you actually live in France, and the authentic vintage is all around me.
So today I am showing you glimpses of homes that I know and love here, and where the true quality of vintage french is a daily way of life.
These homes belong to friends who love to take care of their home, but who are not aware of creating a ‘french’ look …. they are simply putting together the furniture and pieces that they find locally or from their family, and they take pleasure in using every day.
I find continual inspiration in observing these homes. I love the juxtaposition of new and old; of perfectly polished antiques and weathered chippy pieces. For me it is this effortless mix of styles that is the epitomy of French charm.
